On the other hand, lubricated chains offer internal lubrication, which reduces friction and wear, resulting in a longer lifespan and lower maintenance compared to dry chains. They are ideal for heavy-duty applications where maintenance intervals are longer. The disadvantages of lubricated chains include a higher initial cost and the potential for seal failure over time, which can lead to the loss of internal lubrication.
