Broken Connection Bolts: The connection bolts of the track are prone to stress corrosion and delayed fracture under high strength and pre-tension, especially in humid and hot environments. To prevent this issue, corrosion-resistant materials can be used, and the fastening condition of the bolts should be regularly checked to ensure there is no loosening or damage.

Track Wear: Track wear is caused by prolonged use and improper operation. For example, insufficient track tension can lead to lateral bending of the track links, resulting in severe wear on the edges of the track rollers. Preventive measures include regularly adjusting the track tension to meet the manufacturer’s recommended values and using wear-resistant materials for the tracks.

Track rollers and Idlers Issues: These problems are often related to assembly errors or equipment aging. For instance, welding and machining deviations in the chassis and assembly tolerances of the "four wheels" (sprocketsl, idlers, track rollers, and carrier roller) are major causes of track chewing issues. Preventive measures include strict quality control during the production process to ensure all components are manufactured and assembled according to design specifications.

Routine Maintenance: Regular maintenance is key to preventing failures. This includes checking the wear condition of the tracks, cleaning and lubricating the track rollers and other critical components, and replacing severely worn parts.

Dry chains have a lower initial cost compared to lubricated chains and are effective at keeping dirt and debris out, thereby reducing wear from contaminants. However, they require regular external lubrication to minimize wear, and without lubrication, the friction between pins and bushings can lead to faster wear. On the other hand, lubricated chains offer internal lubrication, which reduces friction and wear, resulting in a longer lifespan and lower maintenance compared to dry chains. They are ideal for heavy-duty applications where maintenance intervals are longer. The disadvantages of lubricated chains include a higher initial cost and the potential for seal failure over time, which can lead to the loss of internal lubrication.
